Richard Grimm, MD, PhD, Medical Director


Richard Grimm is a leading researcher in the area of cardiovascular risk factors, especially hypertension. He has served as principal investigator on numerous single and multi-site clinical trials including MRFIT, SHEP, CPPT, CRISP, SNAP, WHI, ALLHAT, and ACCORD. Dr. Grimm is the section head of Clinical Epidemiology at the Hennepin County Medical Center, and is a full member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Minnesota.

Julie Levin, BA, Administrative Director


Julie Levin has served the Berman Center for 35 years. She has personally coordinated over 30 federally- and industry-sponsored trials and has provided oversight for 80 trials. Ms. Levin directs the Berman Center's 25-member study coordinators, recruitment team, research nurses, data managers, laboratory technicians, nutritionists, accountants, and research assistants. Ms. Levin is the liaison among physician investigators, study sponsors, regulatory agencies, and the Berman Center research team.
