The Berman Center provides clinical research support to local, national, and international investigators. It is currently coordinating the regional clinics for ACCORD, coordinating all U.S. clinics for SHARP, and is serving as a clinical site for other trials. In addition to recruiting, enrolling, and following clinical trials participants, the Berman Center supports investigators at all stages of the research process – from preparing applications for funding, securing all necessary regulatory approvals, reconciling expenses and budgets, managing study data, analyzing and reporting study results.

Findings from the Women's Health Initiative Observational Study (WHI-OS) were published in the March 14, 2005 issue of JAMA's Archives of Internal Medicine. You may read the press release and the article, entitled "Leukocyte Count as a Predictor of Cardiovascular Events and Mortality in Postmenopausal Women".
