Eligibility
This Program enrolls Post-Doctoral Fellows for a 2-3 year commitment. Basic eligibility includes holding a doctoral-level degree from an accredited institution and U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.

The Program also enrolls health professional students at the pre-doctoral level for summer internships. Basic eligibility criteria include current enrollment in a post-baccalaureate but pre-doctoral health professional program and U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.

Program Involvement
Post-Doctoral Fellows are appointed for 2-3 years. Fellows take didactic coursework in clinical research methodology, and coursework in CAM modalities. The methodological coursework may lead to a Master’s degree either in Clinical Research, or in Health Services Research and Policy. The CAM coursework may lead to a Graduate Minor in Complementary Therapies and Healing Practices. All degrees are conferred by the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Fellows are expected to attend all Program seminars. Fellows also are expected to become involved in at least one CAM clinical research project, with involvement deep and extensive enough to produce a paper based on the experience that is suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed journal

Summer Interns are involved with the Program for 10-12 weeks over the summer. Interns are placed with an on-going CAM clinical research project. Interns are expected to work on the project for 30 hours per week, and to participate in 2-3 seminars offered throughout the summer.
